This past week has been a very exciting one for GCI. We have received a new projector and are busy making plans on how to best utilize it. We are making plans to show short films to various community groups in Kumba and the Meme Division. We are also preparing to travel to Buea to present our new Prisoners’ Rights Proposal written by previous interns. This proposal outlines the conditions within the prisons here in Cameroon and we hope that it will help convince the government that the conditions within the prisons need to be changed.
We are also preparing to present a short talk at a conference in Kumba on Saturday. The conference is held by Cameroon Football Development Program (CFDP) (website: http://www.cameroonfdp.com/ ) and is themed: Leadership and Service. The conference will be on Saturday June 30th at 8:30 am till 2:30 pm. This is a very exciting opportunity for GCI and CFPD plans to have a great conference.
